
A week before start of European sale Nokia starts delivers of its new flagship model N900. This mobile device is Nokia’s first smartphone running Linux Maemo operating system, which analysts see as a key for Nokia to gain back ground in the coming years. Nokia N900 will become available on November, 16 and will cost EUR599 in Europe and $650 in US. As for the list of technical characteristics of this high-end device the N900 is equipped with 600 MHz ARM Cortex-A8 CPU, 3.5 inch touch screen with WVGA (480×800 px) resolution, 256 Mb RAM (+ 768 Mb virtual memory), 34 Gb built-in storage, microSD memory card slot, 5 Mp camera with geotagging function support, 0.3 Mp frontal camera for video calls, GPS (+ A-GPS) and TV out. There is also Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, Wi-Fi, microUSB and 3.5 mm audio jack. The Li-Ion battery has 1320 mAh capacity. Supported networks are GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900, UMTS (WCDMA). Nokia N900 measures 110.9 x 59.8 x 19.35 mm, and weights 181 g.
