Yesterday Motorola announced its new flagship Android smartphone that will become available in Europe in next few weeks. Motorola MILESTONE XT720 is positioned as new generation of Android based devices. This device is very similar to the MOTOROI that was announced in Korea. But it contrast to it the XT720 has no T-DMB TV tuner and runs not on Android 2.0 but on Android 2.1 operating system. Motorola MILESTONE XT720 is monoblock device featuring 8 Mp camera with xenon flash and HD video (720p) recording support, and very thin case – just 10mm.
Other specifications of this smartphone are 600 MHz TI OMAP3430 processor, 256 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM, MicroSD external memory card slot (up to 32 GB), 3.7 inch capacitive multi-touch capable screen with 480×854px resolution, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g), Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, GPS with A-GPS support, 3.5mm headphones jack, digital compass, motion sensor. The battery has 1420 mAh capacity and provides 9 hours of talk time in 2G networks and 4 .5 hour of talk time in 3G networks. The dimensions are 116×60.9×10.9mm, the weight is 140g. Supported network standards are GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA 1700/2100 MHz.
